The Concept

The name Kattilapeli (literally "The Pot Game") stems from a traditional parlor game where players come up with questions that are written down either electronically or on paper. The questions are then gone through one by one, and players answer the yes/no questions by placing a playing card into a pot, keeping their answers hidden from others.

We wanted to preserve the best aspects of this traditional game - its anonymity, spontaneity, and warm atmosphere—but without the need for pens, scraps of paper, or any other physical hassle. By moving the game experience directly into the web browser, we can offer players the chance to focus entirely on the game.
